This is an original, one-of-one, hand burned piece celebrating the supporting actors of our fisheries, the nursery and refuge habitat we may dismiss as nuisance weeds at the end of the dock. These are the veins of the lake, sustaining many of our inland freshwater fisheries.

The piece features white water lily pads, variable-leaved pondweed and hornwort (coontail). The live edge maple the work is burned on was hand selected from a local wood shop, and the concept for the piece formed over several months thereafter.
