The Chase, 2023
Original, one-of-one, hand-burned pyrography by Abby Wynia completed June 2023, The Chase features two walleye (Sander vitreus) (a.k.a. pickerel) chasing a small school of yellow perch (Perca flavescens) over a shoal with an actively trolled Rapala perch-patterned jerkbait subtly gliding along. Vegetation species present include chara sp. and tape grass (Vallisnaria americana).
It's giving a "will they, won't they" vibe.
