“Shred” features a toothy Longnose gar on a piece of bias cut cherry that has been burned by hand using a medium called pyrography. Techniques applied to this piece include fine linework, shading, highlighting, and fine details such as scales and creases.
This piece of cherry was hand selected, hand sanded down to a buttery smooth touch, hand burned with original artwork, and finished with several coats of Tung oil (food safe and excellent water repellence).
The board is approximately 12” x 5.5” x 1”.
CARE: If using for serving/food do not submerge in water, not dishwasher safe. To clean, use a damp to dry cloth to wipe and prop the piece up to dry. Piece may need to be oiled every 5-7 years (or when looking dull). Do not hang in direct sunlight to prevent artwork from fading.
